Amos Family Cemetery - Cranbrook Tasmania

This historic family cemetery is located in the hamlet of Cranbrook on the East Coast of Tasmania. The first burial occurred in 1842 when Sarah Mary Amos died as an infant. Since then there has been over fifty Amos family members buried at the cemetery. This includes two of the original pioneers of the Glamorgan district, Adam and John Amos, who arrived in Tasmania in 1821 on the ship Emerald from England.

This cemetery is a valued piece of Tasmanian history that needs to be protected and preserved. The trustees of the Alfred John Amos Estate with support from the Amos family look forward to ensuring that the cemetery is preserved and protected for future generations in perpetuity.
